Very interesting Jim particularly "To claim otherwise is to act like a mere spiritualist medium. Even many mediums don't themselves believe they are fakes but are merely self-deluded and trying to delude others: whether their intentions are good or not they are still in the business of delusion. The same applies to your churches at the moment: all mortal priests are being fundamentally dishonest whether intentionally or unintentionally in claiming to know they are in communion with an immortal God."

Bet the prelates loved the comparison! Laughing

P.S. I wonder how much investigation he has done into Spiritualism. Perhaps we can expect a book called "Six Ways to Show there is no Life after Death".

Maybe it's just me but I find arguing about whether one is in touch with an immortal entity or just someone higher up the food chain interesting only if one has established the fact of any contact whatsoever.

I don't want to move higher up the food chain most of those lower down find themselves eaten Very Happy

Its an interesting argument Z I bet the prelates loved it. Personally he is just using teh idea that as we can have no concept of God how would we know. In terms of Spiritualism we do not claim to know God or receive directly from him but from guides who give us aid or loved one's we prove are in Spirit.

I doubt he has much idea of what Spiritualism is but then he is in good company...a lot of our own self declared Spiritualists would have troulbe enlightening him.
