The Old Town is a ramshackle mix of buildings erected on, in and under the hill on which the castle stands.
Very atmospheric today, but an unhealthy warren of goodness knows what.
Legend has it that an entire section was walled up, complete with plague-ridden inhabitants, to preserve the others.
Of course, given the current evolutionary state of humanity, virtually everywhere would have been 'blood-soaked' and that's not taking animal blood into the equation.
