Spirit Release Empty Re: Spirit Release

Dr Alan Lindsay Sanderson M.B., B.S. (London), M.R.C.P., D.P.M., M.R.C. Psych.

Dr Alan Sanderson is a consultant psychiatrist, hypnotherapist and spirit-release therapist. Returning to clinical practice in 1990, after years of personality research, he found psychiatry still stuck in the pharmacological morass.
Spirit release, as pioneered by American psychologists Edith Fiore and Bill Baldwin proved very effective and to someone trained in the bio-medical tradition, was an amazing revelation. He introduced ‘spirit release’, not without controversy, to the treatment of NHS patients at Fairfield Hospital.
Leaving the NHS in 1997, he founded the Spirit Release Foundation in 1999 with the aim of bringing professional acceptance to ’spirit release’ and related treatments. He stepped down from being Chairman of in 2004. In 2009 he was elected the first President of the SRF.

About the SRF

The Spirit Release Foundation (originally the British Association for Spirit Release) was founded in 1999 by a group of medical and complementary practitioners who had a special interest in working with the condition known as spirit attachment. (See below.) The intention was to provide help and support.
The Foundation's objectives are:
• to enhance holistic health through awareness and understanding of spirit attachment and spirit release.
• to introduce this awareness and understanding to health-care practitioners and others.
• to provide training and support in this field.
• to encourage research into spirit attachment and spirit release.

Spirit Attachment and Release

Some of the more common symptoms of spirit attachment can be: lack of energy, memory disturbance, behavioural change, mood change, addictive behaviour, relationship problems and hearing disturbing voices. There may be bodily pain and other physical symptoms. The degree of attachment also varies. Some individuals are scarcely affected, while in rare cases the individual's body and mind have been taken over completely.
Spirit attachment is not uncommon and is often misdiagnosed because many practitioners are not aware of it and because the symptoms might fit a number of possible diagnoses. In some instances attachments exacerbate an existing complaint with similar symptoms. They may be the reason that recovery from a complaint is very slow.
Spirit Release is the is the term given to the process of clearing the attachment.

If people are interested they will generally look into it for themselves.

All that had to be done was a quick google of Dr. Alan Sanderson, and the info is at hand Laughing

Is there any indication as to how a person comes to be the unwilling host of these spirit invaders? Is there any apparent connection with the practice of Spiritualism?

We are again entering areas of the mind versus Spirit. To my knowledge thre is no linkage between Spiritualism and Spirit Attachment. Were there to be some problem it would be in people dabbling with forces they did not kow about like opening themselves to attempt trance without any suitable understanding or control.

Now whether I agree with the idea of Spirit Attachment or Possesion is another question. On the whole I believe this to be a somewhat rare occurence, if it can trly be described in that way. It is interesting that the potential for this was what led the American Society of Psychical Research to identify multiple personality disorder in the Doris Fischer case.

We must always remember that the development of psychology worked hand in hand with the Mesmeric and Spiritualist movement. This was because these presented a different aspect of the mind to research.

As we notice his treatment was controversial and he has now moved on to run an alternative health facility. How much of the work he does is actually Spirit Rescue and how much helps people who believe in this is a moot point. However, notwithstanding this, if his work helps then it does good.

Could you elaborate on that?

If I decided to try to develop such mediumistic ability as I might have, is there a danger in that? Shocked

Not from my experiences Jim but there are people who have mental conditions where trying to develop can heighten any mental instabilities they have. This may cause problems but not from Spirit.

The experiences I have seem more to suggest that anything which is giving a problem relate more to the individual than exterior forces.

I agree Jim, thats why such care needs to be taken of the nervous system when working with spirit. The physical body must be strong enough to support the heighten nervous system.

The emotional and mental selves, should be well disciplined by the medium's self-mastery.

It sounds as though this is not something that one should work with on a "do it yourself" basis.

That's right, proper training will required Jim.

This can be found at a reputable spiritualist church circle or a private home circle.

I came across three videos on dr alan sanderson, much food for thought. Video quality is choppy and poor but still watchable.
