Re: whither - wither? - Modern Spiritualism
Maybe there is just ONE Spirit, which each of us manifests in our own way according to our experience, our DNA and as astrologers believe, the time and place we were born.

Re: whither - wither? - Modern Spiritualism
Isn't ONE spirit exactly what each of us actually is?
The way I think about the situation is that as individual humans we are animated by some form of creative energy which is from God, of God and identically similar to God.
For "God" I much prefer "Source" - even over "Great Spirit".

Re: whither - wither? - Modern Spiritualism
I think of us as just being a fraction of the ONE.
Like each of us being a cell in a body….all the cells comprising ONE being.
This makes sense of why we are told the only judgement is self judgement because there is only one “being” to judge itself.
I read a book years ago and cannot remember the author but you may have read it. The concept was that God came into BEING by unknown means then needed to experience “itself” so God divided into parts in order to experience being “itself”. Yes, it all boils down to being part of the God Force, nothing is truer than that, but with a slant that is hard to accept…..that we are alone, we are God and we do not exist as a separate being because there is only one of those. That book was flying off the shelves and I cannot remember name or title except that it had God on the cover. It turned my thinking around and has done so ever since.

It was “Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsche. Still on Amazon
There are 2 sequels but think I might have just read the first.

I am not a believer in Asrology because it cuts accross free will Janhar.

No it doesn't. Not at all, that is if you are born into circumstances which allow you the privilege of free will.I am not a practitioner myself I have learned the basics, and the basic teaching of astrology is our freedom to use, or not to use, the potentials and possibilities that we have, or to avoid or not to avoid the pit falls that we are likely to confront at certain times in our life, and also the choice to act on or ignore our likely talents. If anything, astrology creates a degree of free will by showing what will help and what will frustrate our personality. In one sense though, none of us automatically have free will. I was born into security for instance, and I had the free will to choose my path. Very different to those born into poverty. My grandson lost every smidgen of his free will when he got knocked off a moped in Thailand and now cannot eat, talk, walk or move his hands properly so has no means to communicate other than with an eye controlled machine which he no longer has the mental capacity to use properly though he seems to know what it's for. His "free will" allows him to smile or shout to show us how he feels.Admin wrote:I am not a believer in Asrology because it cuts accross free will Janhar.
Please don't suggest to me he chose to have this experience. I don't go with that theory and never did.

Re: whither - wither? - Modern Spiritualism
I have no understanding of, or training about, astrology. I have seen no evidence to support what is claimed for it and using the 'Silver Birch Test' it does not appeal to my reason hence I pigeonhole it under "Not proven."
As for freewill I think that just as with reincarnation how it applies is very likely misunderstood. Clearly, though, it's not carte blanche for anyone to be able to do anything anywhere at any time - that would be plain barmy. But to some degree many, probably most, of us have a certain measure of personal free will while all the time the old law of cause-and-effect must apply as it does everywhere.
Freewill will always be constrained by circumstances. Some will have a life of privilege whereas others will have far less. One can add to that the impact of decisions made by others exercising their own freewill where the outcome may restrict or negate our own freewill.

In 'Soul Trek' by Julie Gale her channelled communicator uses the analogy of an intense fire from which sparks shoot out and then fall back with some landing further away from their source than the rest.Janhar wrote:I think of us as just being a fraction of the ONE.

All those sparks are tiny fragments of Source, from Source, of Source and identically-similar to Source. No matter where they land they are minuscule but identical particles of that same Source. What happens to them subsequently does not change their essential nature.
