Any investigation of Spiritualism may be as deep or as shallow as the investigator chooses. There are no questions which must be answered... And as with all matters spiritual we may dip in and out whenever we choose. Smile

Sadly I believe we have been revisited by Hemant again.

Mouni to extract to sections from a Spiritualist Churches piece on What is Spiritualism; without revealing the source is totally unacceptable for this forum and will result in a ban. Its even worse when the Rev who wrote it has been jailed on child porn charges and the Church in question leaves all of his work on display, it may, actually be reasonable material but the morality is shot by the severity of the charges involved.

The source is here http://www.fst.org/spirit1.htm the material is in the second paragraph and the fourth paragraph from the end.

These are all questions which any serious investigation of Spiritualism must address. The study of Spiritualism and its implications to the matters of the spirit is, truly, a lifelong pursuit.

Spiritualism, itself, as a concept of communication between those in the body and those in Spirit, has been a part of the human story for centuries.

As I said Mouni, taking grabs from other people's material, without either attribution of the source, or any valid original thought from you is not allowed. You should also ensure that you validate the sources you choose to avoid other problems. This forum was one of the first on the scene, we refuse to try and hide the wrong doings of anyone, just because they claim to be a Spiritualist, once evidential material comes to hand.

After following your link, Jim, I could recall the case. Over 4 years ago now - you've got a good memory!

Long term memory still stable Mac may have lost a few gigabyte though. I think it was a pretty awful case. The saddest part is he actually did a reasonable job on all of those written pieces in the FST website but in honesty I would have rewritten them by now and removed the source.

Unfortunately I have a feeling the church may no longer exist so the web site may remain as a sort of time capsule trapped for ever in 2010.

The 'Board of Directors' tab seems to confirm your thoughts, Jim - it's a dead link but presumably someone is still paying to keep the website hosted?
