Commander isn't a rank in the RAF. I think it's Wing Commander - Picky I know but things like this appear to bug me for some reason

I thought the utube video was very well done actually and the chap made a credible witness.

Sorry Obi he lost his Wing because the title was to long. But then it seems appropriate as we are dealing with Spirits not Angels.

Yes I thought it was decently done although the historical "footage" may have been a little OTT.

LOL poor thing losing his Wing lol. It was interesting though. I kinda like the dramatisation. Do people really see spirits that way?

Seeing Spirits, well I guess some may do but mostly it is subjective sight not objective. That is you see something with your senses not as if they are flesh and blood. One of the things a Medium learns to do is trust this and describe it.

I have been fortunate enough to see a few objectively, one where two ladies in spirit joined our Sunday Meeting, even adding chairs in the gap in our circle in front of the doors and began to heckle me as the demonstrator. They were commenting that I didn't look like much and probably wouldn't see them there. I ended up almost laughing aloud which got rid of most of my normal pre demo nerves. They had been regulars at Spiritualist Churches. The other two times I was startled to look again and realise the person I had seen was not actually there.

Hi Obi,

No the Spirits are at the churches Obi often tearing their metaphysical hair out at what passes for "Mediumship" or "Addresses" all too frequently these days. Standing all round knowing that the "medium" will not know it.

Yet the centres are the effective front line in meeting and greeting potential seekers. I think it is time they all took a good look at what they present as Spiritualism and Mediumship. Its tough for church committees because too often they have accepted lower standards because of a shortage of good speakers/mediums without realising the potential damage. Additionally few have embarked on serious training for would be new mediums (indeed I suspect the necessary training skills would be in even shorter supply than good Mediums).

Look chairing meetings there have been moments in talks and demos where the bad TV repeats seem remarkably interesting and we have at least an more contemporary format without the over religous symbolism to help.
