Why is reincarnation such a hot-button topic? Empty Why is reincarnation such a hot-button topic?

Reincarnation is probably the most controversial topic there is among Spiritualists, and probably always has been. And I find this to be true among other spiritually-minded folks as well. And I don't offer myself as any exception. I don't believe in it, STRONGLY don't believe in it, and find myself quicker to approach losing my temper about it than I do with any other spiritual topic. I find that most believers in it are no different.

What do you suppose there is about reincarnation that raises such strong feelings?
