Hi Mac,

I have been pondering this point. I am, on the whole, very concerned about this idea. Their are significant psychological issues here which merit attention. The real fact is that all to many people will have the dialog which their own sub conscious wants to have. The potential for harmful effect is too high.

I am happier to stick with thetype of guidelines I use in dowsing or suggest in psychic development, never for yourself, family and close friends where you may be overly involved in the outcome or the emotions.

I am aware that the largest percentage of mediumship is of the "deathbed" apparition type. People seeing loved ones at the moment of or just after death. Indeed I realise that there are many current mediums who highlight an event like this as the cause of their development. I am also aware of the work of Botkin on self induced mediumship, particularly in relation to Vietnam veterans, to help deal with past traumas.

However unless this development is a serious use of Botkin's approach to help people deal with grief and not create future ongoing communications with loved ones I will worry a lot about the potential for harm.

In the instances I know about from elsewhere, Jim, it's personal communication that's the only desire as it also was in my recent pendulum enquiry.

I'm expecting the eventual outcome will be some very disappointed, and/or deluded individuals. Crying or Very sad
