I sat in a cabinet Empty I sat in a cabinet

I am very reluctant to post this, because this experience was personal and very unexpected, and I am not intending to convince anybody of anything. However, why not? As I always say, you have to be there to make your mind up. It is open to others for their interpretation.

At a recent physical medumship workshop, like the other nine attendees I took my turn to sit for a transfiguration experiment in the cabinet, which was a cubical formed from tubing and fabric. (I camcorded the others when they sat, and there seemed to be some facial changes, but nothing dramatic.) There was a strong red light in the cabinet, and the room was darkened with curtains but we could see each other well, as it was daytime.

As I do not consider myself mediumistic or psychic, I did not bother to get someone else to camcord me in the cabinet. I sat with closed eyes and kept very still throughout. I let myself go in to a kind of meditation with an open mind, and I could hear comments that my face was changing. I did feel some itches and tingles on my face, but I've had those before in spiritual situations. Suddenly, I heard remarks that the cabinet was moving, and it seemed that all could see this, except me of course. There was excitement in the room, and the others began to talk to the cabinet, or rather if there was a communicator causing the movement. A code was established of sideways movement for Yes, and backwards and forwards for No. Questions were then asked if the communicator was male(yes), was he wanting to contact someone here (yes), was the person to contct male (no), female (yes). A relative?(yes). Did you pass over more than ten years ago? (yes). There were three candidates left. Dark hair? (no) or fair hair? (yes). The only person who was left was my fair-haired sister, who was in attendance.

My sister accepted the communicator, but said nothing at first. Others asked, is it a grandfather? (no). Is it father? (no). My sister then asked, is it Ray? (Her brother and mine). The answer was an emphatic yes, shown by lots of sideways swaying movement. I was feeling very emotional by now. My sister asked, Are you happy where you are? The answer was yes. She was rather gobsmacked, and asked nothing else.

I confirmed the facts with the other attendees, who said the movements were very pronounced, and we all knew that no fraud was possible. Although this, like table tilting, is a basic form of communication, it proved once again for me that the 'paranormal' is a reality, and there was an 'intelligence' behind the answers to questions. Beyond that, I think it's a matter of personal belief and interpretation. A closeup photo was taken of me in the cabinet, I'll post it although it is not of good quality.

As the saying goes: "Don't believe anything unless you have had personal experience of it."

Did you feel the movement of the cabinet yourself?

I was not aware it was moving, I was sat in the middle without touching it, no-one else was touching it, and there was no breeze in the room.

Thanks for sharing Normy... Spirit certainly do 'move' in mysterious ways, who'd have thought it... I suspect they have now fuelled your interest even more Wink

Might be something and nothing... But Have you ever noticed how those with a keen interest and devotion to progress and develop, sometimes do less well than those who come to the table (no pun intended Wink ) with a slightly reserved, sceptical even scientific approach?

I'm looking forward to reading more Normy Wink

This can happen Leslie. Here is a recent account of a materialisation, from a Caroline Tobin, who had little previous knowledge of PM, on Jo's Facebook page. I was not there, but I believe the story, as it was supported by Jo, but as always you make your own choice to believe or not.

'Hi hun, thanks so much for the wonderful weekend. You soooooooooooooooooooooo looked after me, in fact I feel like I have just left a spa. Mojo's Spa hahahaha. The cherry on the cake had the be when we went into your seance room, what a privelage to be part of that and I feel so blessed to have seen a materialisation of one of your guides. I was lost for words all yesterday and have only came bac...
k to earth today Smile All I can say was that I was sitting in your seance room and the next thing I saw was like a silvery cloud like substance moving upwards from the floor. I looked away to another part of the room to make sure it wasn't my eyes adjusting to the dark as you know I will not accept phenomena without ruling out all possibilities, but the rest of the room remained pitch black. So I looked back to the cloud like substance and my eyes followed it upwards and just as I was wondering what it was, I saw a face appear in that twirling cloud. It was as clear as anything. I got such a shock that I think I stopped breathing. As I continued to look, the face got clearer and clearer and a white ball of light formed around the face and was so bright it lit that end of the room. I could not believe what I was seeing and with my own physical eyes, as I do not see spirit with objective clairvoyance. The room was so full with love that I nearly started crying. I really have been left speechless with what I saw and felt Jo. I really feel truly blessed to have witnessed this. Truly you and your spirit team are wonderful and want to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to witness my first manifestation. Thank you for being such a kind and loving soul and looking after me so well and blowing my mind lol ♥ ♥ ♥ xxx'

Despite my scientific approach, I have experienced much paranormal and survival evidence , and I think that as long as you are open-minded and genuinely searching, Spirit seems to manage to reach you with unexpected evidence. I filled my two books with it anyway! Smile

Perhaps one day you might sit in the cabinet and try it out for yourself Leslie, but don't forget to get it camcorded! ( Unlike me) Smile

I was chatting on the phone with Jo yesterday evening. She's agreed to come and do a one day workshop for me at my local church (March 2013). So who knows Normy Smile
Should you consider coming along also, you would be made very welcome, and of course you can hold the camera... Just in case I forget Wink

That's fantastic news Leslie, I really believe in seeing it for yourself and making your own mind up. Where is your church, I don't like travelling too far, what with having a wife, two dogs, advanced years, and a heart pacemaker! Very Happy

I'll forward you the details.

Have you forwarded an article recently on this and had it published yet? Would very much like to read it (or have I missed details / perhaps a link somewhere?)

Do you mean in the Psychic World? John Sutton is going to include an account, very much like the one on here, in his column next month Leslie.
