Thanks for that Mark I think the intonation, pattern of speech and langauge would mean I would buy that as a distinct possibility. I once put the ACD video up with a link to David Thompsons Conan Doyle and that one was not at all similar.

By the way thats a great way to do this side by side, good thinking.

I've done it with a few, and there is definitely similarities with Flint's direct voice. Read somewhere recently that gramophone records were made of Etta Wriedt's mediumship as well as Mrs A.E. Perriman. Wouldn't it be great to get a hold of these Jim.

Mark it would be fantastic to hear them, I am extremely impressed by teh stories of the very humble Etta Wriedt. When I wrote my story about the Spiritualist Prime Minister of Canada I downloaded every page of his diaries, 1892 up to his death in 1950, covering his experiences with Spiritualism and Mediums. It was very moving reading all that material.

The main point was his total belief in Etta and the material about her. I had intended to follow up with a piece about her based on the diaries but the period when PN was closed stopped that. I am not entirely sure how I could write it in a way that fist the revised PN but will think about it. Alternatively I may make it much more detailed and head for Psypioneer.

She really was quite a medium by all reports.

Interesting Mark, I can hear similarities from ACD's original voice to the second video made from Leslie Flint DV. It would be nice to hear the gramophone records you spoke of too.

Jim I look forward to hearing of your research about Etta, great work!
