A Wrong Phone Number

My cousin phoned me today to relay an odd experience she had this morning. My cousin is also a Spiritualist and firmly believes that it was spirit that caused this to happen this morning.
She made a phone call this morning, and realized that she had mis-dialed.
She hung up before the person on the other end could answer.
The person has caller ID, and immediately phoned my cousin back.
My cousin apologized and said "I phoned you by accident, I apologize."
The woman she accidently called said that it was OK. She had been sitting at home, and had decided that if no one called her, she was going to commit suicide.
My cousin talked with her for twenty minutes, and encouraged her.
She then called the Suicide Hotline and gave them the woman's name and telephone number.
My cousin will follow up with her.
Was it a spirit that caused my cousin to phone the depressed woman? I believe it was.

Chaplain here at college refers to 'God-incidences' to describe such events.

Mention of Suicide Hotline made me think of a young lady I knew some years ago, family name of Suib. Their phone number was the next one in the phone directory to the Suicide Hotline. She said that more than once, they got some hair-raising phone calls in the wee hours of the morning.

Tony Plummer was forever getting folk ringing up asking him to come round and price a boiler repair or to fix a leaky tap.
He's a French teacher.

Years ago I used to get phone calls asking me if I "had" a particular car, or cursing me out because I allegedly had "towed their car". . .

Couldn't make sense of it till I saw a billboard for City Auto Towing. Their phone number was identical to mine, except that my last digit was a 9, there's an 8.

What a job. Imagine going into work knowing that every time the phone went it would be someone having a go at you. They must have skin like a rhino.

But that would be easier to handle than the suicide hotline, Peter. I just couldn't deal with the thought that what I say or don't say or how I say it might be what drives the person standing on the edge, right over the edge.

Aye they deserve medals those Samaritans.

Spirit have a funny way of working.
I received a phone call years ago rather similiar to your's.
Silence then a noise like nothing I have ever heard before.
A voice in the distance,thought it was my son calling from Australia.
Interference on the phone. I kept asking who it was,then this garbled voice again.
I heard the one word 'Dad' then 'happy' then silence then the dialing tone.
It was never repeated but voice sounded like his voice.

Had forgotten all about it until I read your post.
