A WOMAN blamed for causing a plague of caterpillars and burnt at the stake as a witch was finally declared innocent yesterday, 385 years after she died.
City councillors in Cologne agreed to reopen the case of Katharina Henot, head of the city's post office, who was tortured and paraded through the streets before being strangled and burnt.
