Horoscopes are certainly part of Astrology but definitely NOT Spiritualism.

This site, thanks to Jock, is becoming an advertisement for Dunfermline ASK!!

With Spiritualism in its present, shaky state, we might do worse than to embrace horoscopes (horrorscopes? Very Happy ) in an effort to reach out into the community!! Very Happy Razz

What utter nonsense Jock. Where is the evidence for that statement?

and if he had the present day computers would know what he may have archived(sic)
Take synchronicity for instance you need the first thought to allow the chain of events to follow I will often cast the first stone in the pond to se what may arise that is what is known as philosophy. It seems when some-one tries to do something a little differently they are castigated for it if we listened to the procrastinators we would still be living in caves with closed minds. As to so called advertising Dunfermline Ask if it offends you so much do not reply to the posts it is not myself that is causing the interest it is yourselves. Astrology has been around for centuries and will be around for a while longer . Al

It still has nothing to do with Spiritualism even if it has been around for thousands of years.

Agreed Z Astrology and Spiritualism are not intertwined. The ether may be the carrying energy which allows communication , or as Cox and Crookes decided the Psychic force, but they never agreed it was "Spirit Communication" it is psychism pure and simple. Any decent Medium will determine and know the difference between contact using this...Psychic ,,,and the subtle energies of an individual Spirit communicating.

Sadly few try and the failure to understand the difference devalues their "Mediumship" into a jumble of psychism and Mediumship where the genuine evidence is lost in New Age Symbolisms. aura colours etc etc.

I think Almera its time you went back and studied this in detail you may wish to read my PN article on the Psychic Force

I have a few observations to make and some issues to raise All the spirit guides all advocate that an aspiring medium should learn the most they can about every-thing especially the arts , religions and general knowledge to help make them a better channel for spirit.
Gordon Higginson explains it thus if a guide wish to talk to some-one through a medium about a silver self propelling pencil how can they if the medium has never seen of heard of one, the more knowledge a medium has the more the communicator can use to communicate through the medium.
I know Astrology is not part of spiritualism however if a medium has a knowledge of it then the communicators can make use of it. The same goes for numerology, Auras, Psychology and more. Let me put it this way if a JCB driver wishes to communicate to another JCB driver a medium who at least knows what JCB digger is would be best able to deliver the message.
It is in this vein we run workshops lecture and talks on various subjects to heighten the awareness of our members and patrons alike. Then we have the well being of our organisation to consider we run at a loss on our services and healing however we augment our funds by fund raisers within our remit as spiritualists.
I would also like to bring to your attention it seems on this site posters are determined to try and identify who various people may be and this is not cricket my friends, people should be able post on this chat site freely and be able to take their jackets of with no fear or recrimination of any kind. There at least 50 viewers a day on here yet a few post I wonder why. I wish to remind the host of this site you have access to every posters IP No and have a duty under the data protection act to act in a reasonable manner. If a post or a poster is not to your liking then you can delete the post or both. Al

I would remind you, Jock, that it is very unwise to make veiled threats to the host of this site.

Your other comments regarding mediumship don't stand up to scrutiny. The spirit communicators are more than capable of providing evidence of survival without resorting to Astrology or JCB diggers.
